Though the spiral spring is a small product,but it plays a very important role in real life application. At present,there are a few enterprises that produce spiral spring with a complete sets of processing machine and testing machine in China, but the gap of R&D and equipment is evident when compare with foreign countries. The development of spiral spring’s testing equipment relies on digital technique, and also make great efforts on product development, therefore, the situation is little better than before. The main problems are:
1, the variety of spiral spring is not completed and single, most enterprises just can produce one or two kinds of standard and fail to form a system, they even don’t have the capable of producing complete sets of equipment. Hence the continuous and logistics control of the equipment are still in blank field. For the complex and high-tech products only a few can produce, and production is far not enough to meet the market demand.
Besides,the spiral spring products also has certain gap in performance with the same products at abroad. Such as load accuracy and vertical degree of accuracy etc.It mainly reflects intensively in three aspects: the unstable performance, the big dispersion of some important quality index,the unstable life time. Especially when the products require the spring to work under the condition of high speed, high stress,the contradiction is more outstanding. So,in future, the developing direction of the spiral spring should be : high intensity,long life time, light weight, miniaturization, special-shaped pieces, assembly part. Most of products stay at the step of imitation, and most of them imitate the overdue products, lack of the ability of independent development. the spiral spring enterprise need to strengthen research and development of the new spring products,do more work on studying the new products,continue to expend the spring specification and variety.
